　　Everyone who is engaged in interpretation can't do without taking notes. As the saying goes, "good memory is better than bad writing". In order to ensure the accuracy of translation, notes are indispensable. What should we pay attention to when sharing notes for interpretation?

　　1、少寫多劃。劃線條比寫文字快。線條形象，相當于翻譯的"半成品"，有助譯員眼看筆記，口出譯文。兩種情況下應該盡量用線條：表示動作和動態(tài)的詞句。比如，以上升的斜線代表"發(fā)展"，"增加"，"進步","進一步";以下降的斜線代表"減少"，"下降"，"惡化"等等。表示因果或前后關(guān)系的詞句。比如，用一條線代表"因為/所以"，"…之后"，"在…之前"，以體現(xiàn)出上下前后之間的關(guān)聯(lián)關(guān)系。

　　1. Write less and stroke more. Dashes are faster than words. Line image, equivalent to the "semi-finished product" of translation, helps the translator to read notes and export the translation. Lines should be used as much as possible in two situations: action and dynamic words and sentences. For example, the rising slash represents "development", "increase", "progress", "further"; the falling slash represents "decrease", "decline", "deterioration", etc. A word or sentence indicating cause or effect. For example, use a line to represent "because / so", " After that Before "to reflect the relationship between the top and bottom before and after.

　　2、少字多意。養(yǎng)成一個詞的筆記不超過一個字的習慣。中文里有大量的詞匯是由兩個，或兩個以上的字組成。只要看到其中一個，你的短期記憶就應該能夠補齊其余的字。不必多寫。比如，"中國"最多寫個"中"。"北京"最多寫個"北"。英文詞也同理處理。"politics" 最多寫"poli"，"government"最多寫"gov"，等等。另外，需要培養(yǎng)以筆記與記憶互動;看到一個字能說出幾個字，甚至一串詞的能力。在有上下文的情況下，這不難。比如，談中國的近況，聽到"改革，開放"記一個"改"字，不難從短期記憶中說出原文。聽到"British Prime Minister Tony Blair"，記"PM"，也同樣能說出原文。

　　2. Less words, more meanings. Form the habit of taking notes of no more than one word. There are a lot of words in Chinese which are composed of two or more words. As long as you see one of them, your short-term memory should be able to fill in the rest of the words. No need to write more. For example, "China" is written with "China" at most. "Beijing" has at most one "North". The same is true of English words. "Politics" means "poli" at most, "government" means "gov" at most, etc. In addition, we need to develop the ability to take notes and interact with memory; to see a word can say several words, or even a string of words. It's not hard when there's a context. For example, when talking about the recent situation in China, it is not difficult to say the original text from the short-term memory when hearing the word "reform and opening up". When you hear "British Prime Minister Tony Blair" and remember "PM", you can also say the original.

　　3、少線多指。通用一小組線條/標記。否則在自己本來熟悉的中英文之外，又編出一套自己不熟悉的文碼使用，會導致需要想一想用哪個符號的情況，適得其反。

　　5、快速書寫。必須發(fā)展自己的漢字快速書寫系統(tǒng)。口譯筆記完全是自己看，而且只需要幾分鐘之內(nèi)能看懂就行。很多漢字筆劃減少后，并不影響確認。我這里講的不是潦草，而是除了實際口譯經(jīng)常不得不潦草之外，花一些時間，把練習中或口譯工作中常用的字琢磨一下，看看可以怎樣減少筆劃，或理順筆劃，一筆成字。

　　5. Write fast. We must develop our own Chinese character fast writing system. Interpretation notes are read by oneself, and only need a few minutes to understand. When the stroke of many Chinese characters is reduced, it does not affect the confirmation. What I'm talking about here is not scribble, but in addition to the fact that actual interpretation often has to scribble, take some time to ponder over the words commonly used in practice or interpretation work, and see how to reduce strokes, or straighten out strokes, and make words.

　　6、明確結(jié)束。口譯中，講話人說一段，停下來讓譯員譯一段，然后再繼續(xù)。這樣，上一段話和下一段話之間，必須有明確的界限。上一次的結(jié)束點，就成了下一次翻譯的開始點。其重要性在于，如果筆記是從本子的1/3處開始的，下一段話可能寫了2-3頁，翻回來口譯時，眼光無法確定這頁上面哪一條線，或符號是這次翻譯內(nèi)容的開始點。所以需要標明。

　　6. Clear end. In interpretation, the speaker says a paragraph, stops and asks the interpreter to translate a paragraph, and then continues. In this way, there must be a clear line between the last paragraph and the next. The ending point of the last translation becomes the starting point of the next translation. The importance is that if the notes start from 1 / 3 of the book, the next paragraph may be written on 2-3 pages. When turning back to interpretation, the eye cannot determine which line is on the page, or the symbol is the starting point of the translation. So it needs to be marked.
